Introduction to
Program
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree
Program offered by American Culture University is a
self-paced learning program which may be completed totally
by distance learning. ACU’s study programs are not
structured by semesters, quarters or terms, allowing
students to begin their Degree Program at any time during
the year. The MBA program is designed for individuals who
seek to advance their careers in management by acquiring a
working knowledge of sophisticated analytical and
quantitative techniques for the solution of management
problems. Because the tools of management science are
applicable to the problems of the public sector as well as
the private sector, students whose career interests involve
not-for-profit enterprise are also encouraged to seek
admission.
ACU’s MBA program emphasizes the
identification, analysis, and solution of complex management
problems that require technical understanding and balanced
decision making. Students develop additional expertise in
the solution of persistent management problems through the
completion of a dissertation or thesis. Management roles
with the confidence and self-discipline expected of the MBA
program graduate.
The MBA program has a total of 36 credit
hours requirement including six (6) core courses of 4
credits each and a Master’s Thesis of 12 credits
Students are
provided the option of completing either a Master's Thesis,
or 3 additional elective courses.
Entry Requirement
The program is designed for those who have an undergraduate
degree from an accredited college or university or a
comparable degree from a recognized institution outside of
the United States. Also required is a cumulative grade point
average of 2.0 or better.
ACU
requirement for the award of B.Ed. is completion of 120
credit hours. Student entering into the program with an
associate degree or equivalent qualification in relevant
discipline would receive an advanced standing of 60 credit
hours.
